I first heard this Bach when I was 18... and now, at 77, I still find myself loving Bach. That moment sparked a lifelong love affair with Bach's compositions. I couldn't get enough of his genius.

When I feel depressed by the world, when I have lost hope for the future of humans in light of our suicidal stupidity in so many domains.... A handful of wonderfully talented and dedicated humans raise Bach from the score, unite their souls and fill my heart with light and hope. Thank you, thank you, thank you...

The cello scale at 5:31 is always the bit that sends shivers down my spine. A work of genius. Beautiful performance.

Wow! I was absolutely captivated from start to finish. It was like hearing this familiar music for the very first time. Such energy and vitality. Many thanks!

Interesting Adagio interpretation. Most orchestras just play the Phygian cadence with either the harpsichord, violin, or both doing a short improvisation. Ton Koopman uses the Adagio from the Tocata BWV 916. The Lento of the organ trio sonata BWV 530 works beautifully arranged for violin and harpsichord. Thank you for not racing through the 3rd movement Allegro. Great viola solo!

Bravo! That is the way the Brandenburg Concerto no 3 should be played. It definitely expresses Bach's talent for the creative, most beautiful, pleasing to ears, .. genius. He brought out the most gorgeous tones possible for the violins on every string.

Bravo, NYCP!

The second movement is way too long. You're not Bach. Otherwise, it's terrific.
