Graham, I'm a doctor in the UK.
We do not earn much at all, much less compared to the US.
A first year doctor takes home only about 2000ish pounds a month after tax.
Consultants after training DO NOT make 400, 000 pounds a year HAHA we wish!
Consultants (attending equivalent in the US) start at 76, 000pounds a year.. National healthcare drives the pay down for healthcare workers.
I think Ali earns alot more through his youtube channel!

The thing about "you could have done that yourself" is that people have a limited supply of willpower. If you do all these small things it builds up and you don't have the willpower to focus on things you need to focus on. He's a doctor. He has a lot of important things he needs to focus on. I wouldn't necessarily say it's a bad thing that he uses these instant routes.

Graham was too soft on the Starbucks purchases. It doesn't matter how much someone makes, Starbucks is a sin that cannot be forgiven.

I love how Graham gets so fixated on coffee hahaha. I completely agree though. If bad coffee is what you are into, you can get it for much much less.

I’m a doctor and I’d like to clear a few things from my personal experience:
- Trainee doctors aren’t paid much, and UK training is long. Not sure but I think he’s still in training
- No they don’t feed us proper food, that food slows you down and makes you gain weight fast but it’s the fastest thing to fetch since doctors don’t have breaks you have to eat on the go.
- Tried to survive without caffeine but it’s hard with long/ busy shifts and it’s the only way we treat ourselves at work.
- It’s a stressful job and chronic exhaustion is likely so kudos for him for finding time to go out, make videos, spend on dating apps..He deserves all that.
It is hard being a doctor, and by the time you start getting a normal pay-check to pay off student loans, and certification fees, everyone else has a house, a car and is going on vacations by then.
Not complaining, it is very rewarding and I wouldn’t choose to do anything else.
