Easy Dev Backend for NativeScript Apps

Most mobile apps don’t live in isolation. There’s usually some kind of backend that your apps talk to. Whether you’re building the backend in .NET, Python, php, Java, Node, etc., there’s a backend that handles your server side logic and data calls.

Having a simulated backend when you’re developing is super useful, this way you get a more realistic experience of developing an app.

In this video tutorial, I show you how to quickly set up a node and express server and have our "hellow world" NativeScript with Angular app fetch data from this server.

That's the way that I do my apps, backend first, models of data and then, Front end for app, web, etc! MEVN Stack Go Go Go! + NativeScript. This is an excellent tutorial for they who don't know how to start with a entire stack + Nativescript!

Thank you. This is what I needed it. Now I need an example to connect to MongoDB, or doing this kind of example with MongoDB and even using NestJS instead of NodeJS, and also using MongoDB.

As usual great tuts, but tell me if u may, how would u keep your app from disconnecting from a socket.io server when it goes to background mode or user just open another app?
At this moment am stuck with that.

Maybe u could make a tutorial how to tackle that? since a lot of devs want to still be connected while in background mode, fetching messages from a socket.io or to a backend with an interval and so forth..

Hi Alex, I have suggestion to make a course ... nativescript with firebase, firestore ... ets. I think it will be very handy ... of course Angularfire2 with nativescript :)
