This tutorial still helped me a lot in 2022 and seems to work.
- mlab com routes to mongoDB now so you will have to adapt with the new interface a little bit.
- mongodb.ObjectID is deprecated so you have to use mongodb.ObjectId (lower-case d)

Thank you so much, this course is helping me build my app. Anyone else following else who is following this tutorial for production work: use Mongo DB Atlas Clusters instead of mLab as it's been acquired by them and will no longer exist in the future.

If you can read this, MLAB was bought buy MongoDB, it's essentially the same thing as Atlas (more complex than mlab, but the same people making it)

im not sure but i think you dont need body parsee anymore, its now part of express -> express.json()
