Photoshop Transform Controls Missing **FIX FOR PRE-2024 PHOTOSHOP VERSIONS**
Learn what to do if you open Photoshop and you find that your transform controls are missing. The first thing to know is that you should NOT reset your Photoshop preferences. You stand to lose a lot of things like patterns, gradients, shapes etc., if you reset your preferences - so that's not where you should start! as of latest update the show transform controls tick box is no longer on the options tab, its inside the setting for the layer selection hover thing, it was better being directly on the tool options tab

Hey, great video. For some reason, the handles keep disappearing. The box is ticked, but the handles dont appear - I use the free transform from the edit menu, and they reappear for the rest of the project; until I reopen it and theyre gone again. Any ideas? The box is still ticked by default

My Photoshop Beta update lost the handles today on text and image boxes. After checking out your video I noticed the Transform Box was unchecked. Thanks for your video, it helped me today! Note: My Photoshop Beta crashed after attempting to do a text object perspective using the Edit->Transform tool. When it reopened it lost once again the Transform Box was check mark, even though I saved my work after every step I concluded.

You're using an older version of Photoshop. @gheminie explains this well in the comment below. You'll want to get up to speed on the latest version. Mucho changes!

No, it's still not working, I just thought now about rasterizing the layer, that works.
