Preview: Athens From Past to Present

Many people visit Athens for its historic significance and probably just a layover before they fly to Greek Island. After our Greek island hopping tour, we decided to stay for an authentic Athenian lifestyle in the Greek Capital.

Athens is quite a city that spams from ancient part to the sea side, we went through different neighborhoods, traveling from past to presence, from ancient culture to the contemporary subculture. We also took the journey to Athens Riviera for the beautiful coastline and beach towns. We ended our trip in Athens at the Temple of Poseidon in Sounion.

Below are the highlights from our stay in Athens:

- We also recommend to venture into the old city by foot, and should pay a visit at metropolitan-cathedral of Athens.

- Best Weekend Solutions:
Follow the local Athenians to Athens Riviera, the gorgeous coastline outside Athens where the summer never ends. We enjoyed the unique thermal spa and swim at the mysterious Vouliagmeni lake and then sipped the cocktails on the beach with local elites at the Balux Café in Glifada.

- The perfect day trip from Athens
Drive down to Sounion, the southernmost tip of the Attic peninsula for the Temple of Poseidon for the history and incredible view of the sea.
