In this webinar we introduce NISM. A measurement method that allows to measure the phase margin of power supplies without the access to the feedback loop of the device. The Video contains a guest appearance of the NISM Inventor Steven M. Sandler.

Do we always need to terminate Channel1 to 50ohm as shown at 17:47? Is it based on the assumption that the current output from J2111A is an AC signal with no DC offset?

Where could we find more information about Q(Tg)? Is it a direct measurement [like phase or mag] or a derived measurement?
EDIT: I saw the explanation that is first derivative of the phase. 31:02

How come the peaks on magnitude and Q(Tg) are different?

On related note could you share documents on the 2 cursor method mathematical details?

very good detailed presentation. Thank you. But just have a doubt. in this video, when you are measuring stability for SMPS with higher load condition ( at 49:37), there are 2 more peaks at higher frequencies, but those peaks are considered for stability analysis. How to know which peak to consider while measuring Phase margin ( suppose i started measuring PM directly for full load condition.
