I would love to see an effort to send a spacecraft on a flyby, which would probably take quite a bit of delta-v, so perhaps a fairly small probe?

The size is thought to be about 100Km this should be stated in US measurement as 60 miles to maintain the fuzziness of the value

If only we could study this up close... The only other (inner) oort cloud object heading this way is Sedna, reaching perihelion somewhere in the 2070's. But the mission would require decades to reach it.

The sun can capture anything that enter's the oort cloud even another star! But only red dwarfs or (brown dwarfs)not stars!! Just like jupiter is a sub brown dwarf aka a very large gas giant.
