Noah Wall's extraordinary journey began when he was born with only 2% of his brain due to spina bifida and hydrocephalus. Despite dire medical predictions, his parents chose life. The doctors were sure he wouldn’t survive long outside the womb, let alone reach his first birthday. But Shelly and Rob surrounded themselves with a team of specialists and fought hard for their special little boy. And after 9 years, they got the surprise of a lifetime when they went for the umpteenth routine brain scan. Noah’s story became an inspiration globally, demonstrating the brain's plasticity and the impact of unwavering support.

I had two strokes on the same day. I woke up completely paralyzed on my left side and partially paralyzed on my right side. I lost 50 pts off my IQ. I don't worry about what I don't have . I am incredibly grateful for what I do have. I am only as disabled as I let myself be.

Ultrasound scans of my youngest child suggested he had Edwards Syndrome ( trisomy 18) and termination was recommended. We were adamant that he had a right to be born.
He arrived early, at home and I had the privilege of delivering him. This was probably the most stressful event of my life.
18 years later he is a strapping red headed young man, does well academically, has a beautiful girlfriend and plays lead guitar in a rock band.

My parents were told I was never going to walk or talk. I can do that. Too much some say. Now I am 48. Graduated from college married an amazing man. So much to be thankful. I was shunted at three days old. Had another one at four. God is good life is good. It has ups and downs. But I am still here.

My little friend Brian was born with spina bifida, and lived to 12 yrs old. But he had no growth abilities and stayed in a baby seat all his life. He was a pleasant kid, and had a parent and grandma who loved him to the utmost. I call him my friend because he always was happy to see me, whether he understood or not makes no difference. He was SPECIAL to me.

This was all down to his parents who kept talking and teaching him..which is why his brain grew..❤

There was a boy born in 1957 who had to be patterned by family and volunteers from the town to help him kearn to move and control his body. He was in my class and became a football player on the high school team. He was in all our classes and graduated too.

What a miraculous story. Just checked his FB page. What an inspiration this young man is. So glad his parents didn't listen to the doctors and end the pregnancy. Just goes to prove, doctors are not always 100% correct.
Live a great life young man.

I knew a Japanese couple with a similar baby. The doctors wanted to abort but the couple refused. Their baby soon passed away but was loved greatly by the parents.

Noah's story is beautiful.
I have worked in Paediatrics for 34years. There have been times when my mind and experience told me that this child surely cannot survive this, only to be proved fantastically wrong on some occasions. It is a magical thing that children can teach us sometimes.

I think this lovely boy will do more with his 80% brain than most people will ever do with 100%! I wish him well! Also - love the Sooty and Sweep puppets!

My daughter was born a bit different. It took two years to get a diagnosis. She has Sotos Syndrome. We went through a lot of struggles in the beginning. Fortunately, she is high on the spectrum. She never crawled. Simply wobbled when it was time for her to stand. Now our daughter is a sophomore in high school. Getting ready for another IEP meeting tomorrow. She is a fighter. This video touched home for me. ❤

I had a severe head brain injury at the age of 4 in 1979 and was in a coma after taking the full impact on the skull from a drunk driver travelling at 40 miles an hour., the doctors told my parents I probably will not make it; I miraculously made it. I have a stutter and short-term entry issues and struggle with maths, but I am now doing a social work degree and can drive a car and live an ordinary life. I was fortunate. The brain is a marvellous and mysterious organ. I know a lad who fell off his bike at age 12. He has no physical scars but need round-the-clock care and can not even feed himself. We should count ourselves fortunate.

The AI narrator is annoying.

However, the content is wonderful. Noah is a miracle.
