Many CS's (MS's when I was active) feel like they aren't appreciated. For all of you CS's I promise you you are appreciated and you drastically improve the morale and health of your shipmates. Thank you!!!

I'm a CS in the navy and it is one of the best jobs to get that one sailor that says you just made my day by giving him a little extra food

Ay this is the mayport galley. I recognize a lot of these CS's that literally served me a couple minutes ago.

This is a very accurate navy vid. GOD BLESS. CS is a great Job and they do have you doing a lot so if you like doing a lot than its a good a rate and they let you do what you want a bit unlike boot camp so it was fun at least with the right crew. The crew makes a big difference in the rate and the test has a high PNA.

I didn’t take my Asvap test seriously and now I’m a cs . I ship out to boot camp on August 4th

I’m a CS it’s not that bad honestly. Every rate has their up and downs. If you don’t have a passion for cooking then simply don’t choose this rate. It’s a easy rate and I made E-4 in one yr on a aircraft carrier.

I'm thinking of joining CS, I'm not sure yet. People say they hate it but I wonder if they even like to cook at all. I work in a kitchen already so I'm pretty much used to fast past and cleaning.

What I loved about being in The Army as a Food Services Specialist, was that I got to go to the Cool Guy Schools, jump out of Airplanes and Helicopters, Fast Rope, SPIE Rig, Shoot, Move, Communicate, and even Cook Chow with You Swabbies on board the USS Enterprise. GO ARMY BEAT SUA SPONTE SUPERINTENSIFIED, RANGERS LEAD THE WAY.... LOL 😄😁😁!!

What a beautiful, motivating video. That grill full of T-Bone steaks looked awesome!

Hoping to be there in a couple years. Wanna serve at least in some way and idk if im psychically up to standards even tho i would if I could. But I love to cook and I really wanna serve in some way or another and if I can fuel shipmates drive them with something they really enjoy and to keep them happy and healthy so they can preform their best.

My uncle Marlin was a CS on a sub, been thinking about following in his footsteps, idk about the submarine part though.

This is the boss job in the Navy. You get a top secret clearance, you don't have to stand watch, don't have to wear a uniform, you're respected by everyone, even the top brass respects you. Your best friend with the master at arms. Coffee sir? Thank you. That's all you'll hear all day long.
