My father was once had that kind of dog named 'Putol' (because of his short tail). No matter how we kept him indoors, he still managed to sneak out and join our Tanods for a night rounds every single night. I believe all dogs in our area considered him as their alpha dog because no one tried to cause trouble around him. Even the Tanods recognised him as one of the watchers. He was so sweet and intelligent dog. Sadly, our envious neighbour butchered him.
