I believe Rick Nelson had the necessary strength to break free from his teenage idol chains. He proved this to me with the supurb music he made with the Stone Canyon Band as well as any single he gave us. Rick was climbing higher and higher and I saw happiness in his look and his manner but before he accomplished all he was working for God called him home. I let this bring me joy not sadness. I've made it a wonderful responsibility to let everyone I can know about the great Rick Nelson.

Ricky was my all time artist . But this song brought tears to my eyes. because if you look at it this way if we have something special to say to our loved ones we need to do it . the video on this was wonderful . I loved this it now is my all time favorite video . what a talent we lost .

The pressure had to be so intense to be Rick Nelson the teenage idol of the era and
to try to have a normal life with his wife and kids. You just wish he and his little family could have just rode off into the sunset and lived a happy live. Really too bad.
Way to big a price to pay. I doubt that he would say it was worth it. This is a powerful song with surprising transparency on his part.

One of the best songs on the Kooper produced album. A very different sound for Rick, but this song seems like it must have resonated with him quite deeply. I can imagine him singing this to Kris.

This is a great tribute to Ricky Nelson. I grew up watching him I was about 10 years old and watched and couldn’t wait till he sang at the end of his half hour show. You did a great job in honoring him he was a good person. All our good ones have left.

I never heard this song before, so when I first saw it I thought it was an actual conversation Rick had of some kind that might of got recoreded lol! Wonderful clips as always, especially the home videos and the wedding one! I don't know if you knew, but that pic at 1:05 is from his last performance of his last night here on earth in Alabama.
