Before she turned 18, Billie had been admitted to psychiatric wards over 20 times, spending nearly 1000 days in a broken mental health system. From seclusion rooms to misdiagnoses, her experience reflects the fear, isolation, and trauma faced by many with severe mental illness. Now 29, Billie is determined to share her story and advocate for better treatment and holistic care, calling for reforms to the healthcare system that failed her. Through her resilience and with the support of the NDIS, she continues to rebuild her life while hoping for change.
