I have one of these to work alongside the old one... which I just got up to find randomly strobing away in the living room, even though it wasn't switched on. I know it's October, but it's a little early for the spooks to be playing games!

I literally just ordered this light yesterday. I even looked to see if you did a review on it but only seen the old one and that would looked good so figured the pro would be better.

I noticed another reviewer saying it was slow to change color and brightness settings. ie no way to skip thru the range quickly... compared to previous version... is this correct??

Defective already after just a few months and using the VL49 a couple of times only. When I turn it own, the light and battery indicators are flashing, or it just stop completely.

Great review! I've thought about buying one of these as they are so inexpensive. But have one question, is it bright enough to use as a fill light outdoors? (I'm guessing it's not) Thanks! 🙂
