You're the best man. So crazy talented, but you also seem so humble and genuine. Love everything you share with us.

Its great to watch real-life players / mixes - After a stroke I can only really do my stuff alone and in my own speed using virtual instruments ... people tell me that I do an OK job simulating and re-recording all my 30+ year old tracks. I also learn as I go watching video's like this :-)

Super useful, Bea! By the way, I learned a lot from your DHW Totemist mix breakdown from two years ago (probably watched it over 30 times while producing my own stuff). Now, it's great to watch you gain more confidence in your mixing skills with this new one!

It's cool to see someone with a great sound go through their process, and it's quite comforting to know it's very similar to my own. I have never had any formal recording training, but I love doing all my own work. Each time I think it could be better, but that's a good reason to keep trying. Thanks Bea

Im so glad to see that other big players in the industry approach mixing just by ear. I've been self producing my own band after years of telling myself i cant because "i dont know what im doing". Finally i just said screw it and started. Im pretty pleased with the sound of our newest songs, but i guarantee if you open my mix sessions there are things i didnt need to do or easier ways to get the same effect. But i've learned to let go of caring about that. I've learned to mix in my own space and how to get a sound im pleased with and can expand upon, and im having fun doing it.

Thank you Rabea for this song and this breakdown. Although I’m a simple home recording guitarist, this is where I’d love to be with my mixes. Time to study. Cheers.

Yes!! I had a go at covering this + mixing with reference to your version because I love the low end sound you achieved in this mix. It's so good! Looking forward to watching this one

I love how chill these videos are. It's nice to see some tips always. So yeah, Bea, don't hesitate to make this format as possible as it could be.

I love the death guitar section. funnily enough I was using your plug in yesterday and shifting an octave down for a meshuggah inspired section, but you just showed me tthe in plugin eq I was missing. Thank you so much for all you do

Wow that's super cool, interesting to see how doubling up the drum samples made the sound so much fuller.

Love this! So much great stuff you are sharing here. Thank you! I find it interesting with all the available compressors you'd likely have (UAD Complete at the very least I assume) you still chose Smash&Grab and the Logic Compressor for the Bass side-chain compression. It just shows how good most of the plug-ins have become these days and it's just a matter of finding what works for the situation. Love your clean and simple session and approach.
