Here's why All inclusive is good:
You spend 80-100% of your money before you leave home ( you know what it costs before you go)
You aren't messing around with exchange rates or worrying about getting ripped off at every transaction.
You aren't risking credit card exposure to hacking at every transaction (this is almost assured at least once over two weeks if you use a card for everything)
If you're going for sun and sand and nothing else, all ins are extremely convenient.
If you aren't a glutton and aren't really concerned about delicious high calorie foods, there is plenty fresh fruit and vegetables to keep you fed quite well.
If there is a problem with the room, it will be fixed immediately or they will move you into another room. at an air b&b, you will just have to deal with whatever problem they have until you're gone.

They can be okay for people that never ever ever ever ever ever leave the resort. As long as those same people are gluttons.
Now, last time I stated an all-inclusive resort I was not on the all-inclusive plan. But because so many people were I could walk right in and load up my plate and walk out the back door to my room for free
