All-inclusive resorts seem great. You pay an up-front price, then you get to spend a week drinking on the beach, dining under palm trees, and relaxing next to the pool. It can even feel like you're saving money. And for those with a big appetite, that’s probably true. But for others, you could actually end up spending more.

I'm sorry but if ur flying around the world and hiring a Butler, I'm really doubting these kind of people are worried about up-charges.

There's nothing unusual here, this is what all humans do when running a business.

I’ve always been confused about why fishing trips are so expensive. A few dudes running a boat are able to get $250 a person and get 10+ people. Makes me think I’m doing the wrong businesss

This video could have been way shorter, just say: all-inclusive offers include only the things listed, there is just the requirement to read carefully what it is included.
Moreover I think that exploing the area where you're staying for vacation is quite obvious, so wheter you have an "all-inclusive" offer or not you will pay for everything outside of your hotel/village.
Prettu basic and normal stuff I'd say.

My trick? Pay in advance and only bring a certain amount of cash. You literally cannot spend more than whatever cash you have lol

Oh yeah, those semi-submerged on the beach beach patio chairs cost $50.00 to rent each.

Aside from the massive upcharge for exploring the area, most of these charges seem pretty reasonable to me and not too different from the cruise industry upcharge. Since I don't drink alcohol, I actually think I'd be pretty happy with an all-inclusive, especially an all-meals resort more to not have to think about than as a tool to save money. But I am glad to have an idea of what to budget for when I'm there especially in regards to gratuities since as a New Zealander I'm really not a customed to tipping.

Oh well, as a Dominican, I love to say that these places are awesome, because as we're not looking for the same adventures and discoveries as some international travelers are and mostly just want to relax in the beach, dance in the disco and drink a lot, all-inclusive resorts are really worth it, and I have some of them as far away as 45 minutes driving from home <3

My family has always gone on an all inclusive holiday every year, one we didn't and it cost over £2000 is food and drinks for 12 night. As a family of 6 going all inclusive is MUCH cheaper 😂

I've only done an all-inclusive once, for a wedding near Cancun, and I was impressed with how few things actually cost extra. Only the things you'd expect were extra like scuba diving, massages, or excursions. Everything else, including asking for higher quality alcohol or going to the ala carte restaurants or room service, was included. Mind you this was a somewhat expensive resort for the area but I think it ended up being a fair value even though I left the resort nearly every day. Just the breakfast, dinner, alcohol, nice room, excellent pools, etc was worth the price. Not sure I'll ever do it again since I'm not really into relaxing at a resort for a vacation, but for those that do want that I'd recommend it.

Same thing with going on a Cruise. You just have to pay attention to what's included and what's not and it's totally possible to pay essentially nothing extra.

As someone who works in customer support for the calls to these hotels, I can confirm this to be 1000% true and if you're not taking the time to thoroughly read through the terms and conditions of the contracts you're signing, you're absolutely screwing yourself over and you cannot blame ANYONE else but yourself for NOT reading it.
