Lenz Fatillac Fat Bike - Long Term Review - Year Round Ripper

Показать описание
I picked up the Lenz Fatillac full suspension fat bike in late 2018 as a frame/fork and then built it up how I wanted it. My original intent was to have this as a year round bike as I never thought I would buy into the N+1 theory. Right!!
Anyhow, this bike rips! I built it up with the Shimano XT groupset, Raceface cranks, Crank Brothers Stamp 7 pedals, 9point8 dropper, Raceface carbon bar, SQ Labs grips and a Light Bicycle wheelset with Onyx hubs. The whole build weighs in at 33.5 pounds with studded tires. Not exactly the lightest but neither am I and we could both stand to lose some weight.
I've ridden this bike all over to include Bentonville, Colorado, and Copper Harbor, MI to name a few. The bike eats up trail and always brings a smile to my face when I ride it. You can look up the specs at Lenz Sports or just search Fatillac. It's a kind of unique bike, being a full suspension fatty, as they aren't too many out there. Trek used to make one along with the Salsa Bucksaw, the Foes Mutz, the Ican, and a few others. I looked at a few of them but decided on the Fatillac as they're built right in Colorado which I liked.
As mentioned, it's a fun bike to ride and really shines in the shoulder season when there's snow, ice, and exposed rocks and features. Do you need a full squish fat bike? Nope! But, it sure is nice for my 60 year old backside. I used to have a Fatback Skookum FLT that I used in deep winter when things were really groomed and I do miss it as it was a lot lighter and only had front suspension. Still, the Fatillac does just fine and also allows me to have a spare bike for any season! I appreciate you watching!
