We longer live ina free country! City of north port , Florida is unwelcoming of tiny homes in their town and code enforcement said my DIY OFF GRID TINYHOUSE has to go. They are fining me if I keep it on my own property and running me off my own land, paid free and clear. I pay a rediculous amount of taxes every year for what? They dont even maintain the roads!

Don't be surprised if you suddenly get offers from a big developer who went to Northport and told them to get you guys off the land so they can buy it up in parcels close to each other. Happening all over the place but Fla is notorious for it. We wanted to buy land to put our Class A on and the realtor even told us unless we go somewhere like Dade city we won't be allowed to stay long. Well, I can't see going to Dade city but am so thankful the sale of our home fell through because we would be in an RV park if it had not and that would drive me nuts.

I just found your channel from Tiny Homes and came over to check out your channel. This was your 3rd video I watched of yours and I’m so pissed off. It just takes one busy body that gets jealous to take the time to try and destroy you. You’re not destroyed though. You’ll prevail into something even better. I would love to stay at any of your Air B&B rentals. I love your Optimism And determinationdetermination. I love tiny homes. My son sent me to Siesta Keys in Fla to stay in a tiny home a few years ago for my birthday. It was wonderful. This has been a hard one I am sure, you are strong. I think it's tragic that Tiny Homes are not accepted in most of the U.S. It's really frustrating. I own a Tiny and had a really hard time finding a spot for it and I'm in an area with large well to do homes and their tax dollars don't get their roads maintained either. I think it might have something to do with your county not making money off of your home. My home was built by a contractor so it was built to code but I'm on grey water and not septic which is not allowed. With the housing crisis at an all time high I am greatly frustrated by the push back.

In North Florida, I think its not as strict. There is YouTuber called Traveling Robert that bought some land. He bought out there bc he can basically do whatever. He actually keeps his RVs out there.

Go up north of Florida it would work for you better. Look up the tiny home community in Ruskin they are allowed just certain areas Im here in FL I have a few
