It's a little late to explain tariffs to dummies now. The damage has been done.

Prior to 1913 THE USA would generate billions of Dollars in Tariffs with NO income tax. Buy "Local"

I don’t remember you reporting on every good and service doubling in cost during the Biden administration.

Lets pile hate on Trump for stupid dingleberries that don't have the capacity to realize it's a negotiation. Too stupid and filled with hate.

So what you’re all saying is we should stop being lazy typical Americans and start making our own goods. I read yall loud and clear gotcha!

The companies don’t have to buy the product. That’s the whole point of the tariff. It will make American companies not want to buy Canadian things because they’re too expensive. We’ll just stop importing from Canada. So if you’re an American business who’s paying more for a Canadian product because Canada raised the prices because of the tariff then you are a bad business. stop buying expensive things and selling them for even more. Greed is what it boils down to and the business owners will pay the higher price and charge the American ppl more.. Stop going to those anti American businesses. Understand what’s going on and stop buying Canadian things

The liberals in these comments are acting like Trump didn't have tariffs during his first term and prices for everything were WAY cheaper than now. 😂

As usual, youre looking at immediate impacts, and refuse to look at long term benefits...

You won't pay the tariff if you don't buy the Canadian product with the tariff. It ain't rocket science.

It’s part of the solution to reduce national deficit together with the cost incurred by illegal immigration. It’s a whole package. Two party system doesn’t allow for pick and choose.

The company pays the tariff. The consumer doesn't pay anything until they choose to buy. Short term pain of higher prices than we're used to is worth the long term gain of a stronger domestic economy, not the parasite relationship we've had with countries like China. With Canada specifically I'm sure we can come to a mutual acceptable arrangement. The tariff talk is a starting point for negotiations that most people are too dumb to comprehend.

Don't forget, even if somehow the tariffs don't affect some things, the stores will still raise the prices and then blame it on the tariffs.
