Singapore is not alone, the world is heading for a global economic collapse. Those thriving on a debt fueled, false prosperity lifestyle will lose everything.

You Singaporeans should focus on developing food supply chain systems. Not technology... Because food industry is the biggest industry in the future. Singapore is well known for its quality and healthy food technologies. You Singaporean should utilise these skills and technologies to supply organic food to Japan, South Korea, Brunei, Dubai, Taiwan. And China.

This channel is simply the mouthpiece of the government, it is not all bad but at times this channel should be bold enough to speak out(on behalf of the Singaporeans) contrary to government propaganda about IMPORTANT issues such as EPF for the retirees. I don't think it is likely to happen.

One has to see this economic downturn as an opportunity to make changes ! There has to be a focus on more down to earth activities: Singapore can start to grow salt resistant rice, like they do in Qindao in China. Office workers may actually like to get jobs that require more physical activity. Countries have to realize that continued growth does not equal development! In nature, the only organism that has continued growth is : Cancer!

The biggest factor of the decline is China. Singapore is sitting amongst the fastest growing countries in the future. However, competitions from Chinese companies which seem to have unlimited money supply and don’t need Singapore ‘s help. Singapore can only hope that kind of cash power will dry up in the future.

This video question is stupid simply because No one in the world can audit the GDP of any country. IMF and WORLD BAnk Has never audited any GDP. Real total Govt spending, corruption, money laundering can never be known. Economists of the world talk about GDP with a straight face.
