Not realising how much Peter was always holding back, he punches Scorpion in the face and literally punches his lower jaw clean off, then freaks the fuck out realising that Peter could have killed all his rogues easily.

Spiderman always holds back, he's one of those heroes knowing how powerful he could be and how destructive that could be, he also genuinely never wants to hurt anyone, even if he can tear then apart limb to limb, he only punches his enemies just ah much as it should take to take them down. Read comics where he completely loses his mind and quits joking.. He's a killer machine.
