Mac OSX 10.8.2 Core Audio Frequency Selection Bug

Hi folks

Problem is shown selecting between 44/48/88/96Khz to external soundcard in any audio application. It doesn't appear when changing frequency for the in built audio of the MBP. It appears to be generic to any soundcard as the problem is evident with either my Motu Microbook II or Traktor Kontrol S4

Traktor 2.5.1
Ableton Live 8.2
Motu Microbook II Firmware 1.02 Driver 1.6 52865
Targus 7-Port USB 3.0 Combo Hub ACH120AU
MBP Mid 2012 OSX 10.8.2 (12C60)

Sorry for the poor audio - I had to record using the internal microphone - couldn't record successfully from Motu

This is a real show stopper - No reliable switching of frequencies, sometimes the selected frequency will play indefinitely (so far), other times it will play for a random amount of time and then audio static. Have contacted Apple & Motu support for assistance, however any other ideas?

After working on this case with a senior apple tech firstly I have to say I'm very impressed with their ownership and support. We've narrowed the problem down to the USB 3.0 Hub. I've replaced it with a Belkin 7 port powered USB 2.0 HUB F5U237 rev 3 and I can now switch frequencies all day long if I like :) Now I dont know if the problem is related to this particular Targus Hub or the MBPro's USB 3.0? I'd still like this resolved as I'd like to be able to use the USB 3.0 Hub for HDD USB 3.0

Yeah I did and no change. Motu are being slow in their responses. Targus have gone quiet and Native Instruments have been non responsive on this issue. Seems like no body wants to take ownership.

Have you tried that supplemental update yet?
