Im 71 and still use a hand pump. Works anywhere I can carry it with me, no noise and keeps me from seizing up. Plus I didn't have to spend a stupid amount of money for a one use object. Each to their own.

Good review, so bought one. It’s made in China and badged BSA. The review made light of the maintenance and said it was all covered in the information booklet! They aren’t simple and as far as easy to read and follow, I’ll let you know once they come back from Bletchley Park and the Enigma team have had a go at them!

Great reviews as usual Andy but one glaring error ... Birmingham is not in the Black Country .... Dudley, Sandwell and some small parts of Wolverhampton and Walsall ... but not Birmingham I'm afraid.

Looks a nice little unit, I've been using my ebay special for nearly two years and use it to top up my 12ltr tank from 200 - 290 bar which allows plenty of air when grandkids are round all five rifles are used.

Looks like it is the same unit as on Amazon here in the states ( "GX CS3 PCP Air Compressor")

Great looking bit of kit, but I think you miss out on a vital piece of info namely the water content of the air specially if using on damp cold days

And to keep the noise down even more, when out in the field, you can close the car door, seeing as it doesn't take to long to fill a gun.

I bought one, i also have a 7ltr as well you set the presure gauge and from 90 bar to 220 bar takes 1.30mins also without the risks of blowing any seals on your gun. It is a bit loud but quietense down as presure builds great little compressor and great value as well. Well impressed with it.

Having a swappable 12v cigarette lighter fitting as well as the battery clips would be useful. Could also use a car cigarette lighter port or Jackery power pack or similar that way.

Oooo a new backdrop? It looks like the library from Downton Abbey. I like it.

The first one of those I purchased blew up within 30 seconds of use. The replacement worked well and I am enjoying it a whole lot. Your review is spot on. Ciao, Marco.

The Nomad 2 I purchased after your review is still doing a chuffing good job. I noticed most of the switches etc. are very similar to this BSA unit. However no bag and I have a brass bleed valve. KBO.

I use the cheap Yong Heng type. Fills my guns and my tank. I know it's not portable but as I can fill my tank, I don't need it to be. It is fiddly to set up, but I only use it maybe once a month ..
Liked the review as usual. 👍

I would suggest to close the bleed valve on the compressor after it startet a couple seconds, becourse a vacuum effect could damage the interiors of the compressors, so suggest from a guy on YT that had many different compressors.

This is a compressor I would keep in my truck but not being able to fill my 4-. 4500 psi carbon fiber tanks…yeah…I will keep my Yong Heng cheap compressor. 3 years and still going strong. Yes sir. Maintenance, oil changes, cooler filled with ice water, and the use of a fan keep the temperature below 104 degrees Fahrenheit. O-4500 psi on a 6.8 ltr tank takes 45 minutes nonstop but the temps don’t get above 104 even then. Topping off 4 tanks from 250 -300 bar only takes 15 minutes. The unit you showed us would be perfect for someone only filling a gun. I think I should get one for back up and field usage. What a great time to be into PCPs. Thanks for the heads up Andy. Cool product!

I bought the BSA compressor back in Nov 2021 from Vector Air, I don't know what Andy had for breakfast before this video but I have the BSA badged compressor and there is no way I can lift it like he does here whilst sat down.
In use it took 2 mins to fill a Steyr LP series cylinder from empty and 6 mins for a FWB 800 Alu cylinder, also from empty.
Now if you deliberately/accidentally completely unscrew the bleed screw and then put it back in, 2 things will happen, one could be nasty in the worst case when you next run the compressor: 1. The cylinder if it has a gauge will show an increase in pressure and so will the compressors own gauge or 2. The cylinders gauge will happily indicate an increase in pressure, but what are the chances of you watching it and not watching the gauge on the compressor. Now here's the potential nasty result, Your not really paying proper attention with brain in gear, the gauge on the compressor is not showing any pressure.?Turn it off quckly, what has happened is that when you removed the bleed bolt/screw you didn't see a small ball bearing fall out, find the ball bearing and put it back in and the bleed screw.

I understand all these compact compressors are coming onto the but what really puts me off is the moisture, I think more emphasis needs to be put on moisture filtration.

I saw a review of this unit a while back and I’m sure that it said that BSA did not make this compressor but have only stuck their name on it. Is this the case, if so it’s probably made in China like the other cheapos, but in a different box.

Interesting review, , but how does it (the pump) remove all the moisture from the air charge 🤔
which is vital to the longevity and safety of as air rifle or air tank .
This lack of information has stopped me buying one so far
