Solving Proportions -Algebra 1

How to solve proportions: cross multiply and solve. Some proportions, during the cross multiply step, you may need to do distribute style multiplying.

You can also use proportional reasoning to solve. Ask yourself what do you multiply (or divide) to one ratio to get the other.
