Summon is a call to Defence to attend Court

Summon is a written order.

Summon mention the Court in which the case is heard.

The Defendant should be given chance to express his views on the plaint by the Plaintiff.

The principles of Natural justice should be followed.

O.5 Rule 28 and Rule 29.; whenever the Defendant is an army person, the summon is to be delivered through commandant after getting acknowledgement.
