Implementing Windows service account security best practices

Service accounts are used to run multiple services and tasks; a single account might run multiple services at a time. Service account passwords are generally set to "never change," to avoid the cumbersome work of discovering all dependent services and implementing the password change. However, static service accounts are an easy target for hackers.

In this Masterclass session, you'll learn how to:

1. Discover all Windows/Unix servers and workstations while taking inventory of all associated local admin accounts in the vault
2. Perform a first-time bulk randomization of the local admin account passwords upon discovery, and set up new strong, unique passwords
3. Schedule and automate regular credential rotation
4. Keep track of local admin account usage levels
