Moses Ingram is the worst actor and the worst part of the Kenobi Disney+ series. Star Wars is trying to act like it is for other reasons that are not realated to Moses Ingram's performance, and they are forcing Ewan McGregor to push that narrative as well. Lucasfilm is such a sad company.

Let me know what you think about Ewan McGregor's response to the Moses Ingram situation

You all think it’s forced? REALLY? Jesus man, cruel way of seeing it. If anything, Ewan could’ve seen it in his own mind that he should bring himself to do this as a morally right thing to do, as, y’know, people will probably listen to him especially.
After all, if Obi-Wan Kenobi tells his audience to not be racist, they’ll probably listen.

Why are her DM’s even open to the public? Is this real or manufactured by Disney? Who are the people saying those things? Are they real people? What are their names and links to their social media accounts?

Sadly, Disney still have the higher ground.

You cannot deny that the attacks on Moses Ingram are real they are racist and they are happening. They are not happening because of the character she’s betraying they are happening because she’s a black woman and Disney had the nerve to put her in the Star Wars universe. It’s a fact. It’s only a very small percentage of Star Wars fans doing it but they have a loud voice. No that being said, do I like the character she’s portraying? No not quite yet. She has not developed at all after three episodes. She’s one dimensional villain with unexplained motivation. But that’s nothing to do with her being a black actress and those attacks need to stop.

At this point I don't know whether or not to believe this. Disney and lucasfilm are such smarmy companies that this whole thing could have been orchestrated from the start. Especially since they already told beforehand to expect racist comments about her. There could have been racist people that had commented her, but I see no evidence, and if there are I can't really tell if it was made up to set up controversy or if they're actually from real people. Lucasfilm has such distain for legacy fans and characters that I honestly wouldn't put it past them to fake this.

Another thing that gets me about this is the fact that there have been black people in Star Wars before like Mace and Finn. John boyega did get some hate, but for the most part I believe it was mainly because he was a stormtrooper and most of that's all Stormtroopers mostly think of the Clones so they caught people off guard. With Kelly Marie Tran it was a misunderstanding and she wasn't actually getting hate because of her race but the media ran with it anyway. There's no way I am going to believe that she's receiving more hate due to her skin color. Now if it her acting or the way the character is written then I can understand criticism, but I refuse to believe that there would be enough people harassing her over her race and gender that would warrant this response.

He does know he works for Disney right, filmed mulan next to active concentration camp, altered black panther and starwars posters in racist way to appease china. He should look at Disney before making video like this, bit of a hypocrite.

Sounds like Mr. McGregor's heart is in the right place. His compassion for a fellow actor is clear. His words would carry more weight if his compassion for Gina Carano when she got trashed and lied about was this prompt.

I've not seen one truly "ist" comments ... I like her personally, but I don't like the character itself because it actually feeds into the "angry Black woman" narrative. That's not my being woke. That's me being sick of poor, lazy writing.

you sir, are a shining example of what is wrong with the fandom today

You folks are in COMPLETE denial, and missing the point. No one has any problem with criticism of her performance, I'm not a fan of it, , , , but Moses Ingram posted screenshots of the blatant racist comments and abuse she's been receiving. You can deflect and deny all you want, but the fandom has a certain sector that is absolutely racist and abusive, and I'm glad Disney, and Ewan McGregor is calling it out.

Reba is the worst forced BLM character ever! Second is the BLM woman in the new Jurassic World movie (here in Italy was released on June 2). Both their characters sounds forced and are also bad actresses.

I sat in the theatre as a 7 year old in 1977. I experienced the original trilogy, 2 year wait times and all, through the prism of childhood. I had two prerequisites for anyone who wanted to be my friend; you had to be down with the greatest movie ever made, or you had to be down with face paint, breathing fire, spitting blood, smoking guitars, and blowing shit up to the tune of a Marshall amp cranked to "11". One or the other. If you happened to like both of these things, then you had best friend potential.

In 1979 I moved to a city from a small, state college town. The school I went to was my first experience with the bussing program that was being used all over the country at the time. Basically, the school district would "bus-in" kids from lower income neighborhoods so that they would have the opportunity to attend schools in middle class neighborhoods. If any of the parents had a problem with this, I certainly never heard anything about it. And as far as we kids went, we didn't care either way. What we DID care about was who your favorite Star Wars character was, and what album were you going to bring for "Record Friday" ( My 3rd grade teacher was the coolest guy on planet earth ).

All of this hostility and bad vibes surrounding Star Wars was unthinkable to us. Star Wars was the best unifier that a kid could ask for. We LOVED Princess Leia; of course the girls could come along and play with us if they wanted to! Not once did I ever hear anyone say, "you can't play Han Solo because you're Black/Yellow/Red". If you called dibs on the character before everyone else, then you got to play that character. Most telling of all was that when Billy Dee came onboard for 'Empire', we didn't make a big fuss about it, and it certainly didn't stop everyone from still wanting to play Han or Luke! 😆 I don't remember anyone asking to play Yoda. Too much effort to replicate that voice and reverse English-style of speaking.

There's no question that the world had become a better place because of George's work and vision. Those of us who grew up with the OT passed our experience on to OUR kids via VHS tapes and eventually DVD's. We certainly rumbled a bit regarding the work of the prequels, but that had more to do with George losing sight of the basic concepts that make the original Star Wars trilogy a universal story with a strong foundation in the classic mythology of the Greeks. I personally am not surprised that I found myself so strongly drawn to the story and characters because prior to Episode IV, I had my nose buried in the books of those old myths all of the time.

I don't believe for one minute that the fanbase has changed. SW fans will support a great story and characters every time. We've proven this over and over and over again. If there exist straight-up racists in the fan base, it wasn't George Lucas who made them that way. What HAS changed is the entity responsible for calling the shots on all things Star Wars. And thus far, they have proven time after time that they don't understand the franchise or its fan base.
