LED Flasher Circuit Using BC547 | The Simplest

preview_player
Показать описание
This led flasher uses a transistor bc547, a 4700uf capacitor and a 1k ohm resistor.. The blinking time can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the value of the capacitor.

Thank you for watching this video..

Thank you I appreciate that you kept it simple - I have everything needed to make this except a 12v battery. Cheers

I can't get this "project" to work. When I remmove the power and then the LED and press the LED back it gives one flash and even when power is applied it doesn't do anything at all. I even tried older LED's and the effect is exactly the same.

can change the resistor to control speed of blinking. thanks, this was the simplest working led flasher / blinker with BC547, i used 470 uf capacitor,

The circuit above is very unreliable and only works with some transistors. The voltage is very important. It must be high enough to cause the junction(s) between the emitter and collector leads to breakdown.
The flash-rate will depend on the value of the top resistor and the electrolytic and also the voltage at which the transistor break-down.  The circuit consumes less than 1mA and the 100R prevents a high current flowing through the LED (from the electrolytic). Without the 100R, the LED is destroyed instantly.
The circuit is a very good demonstration of breakdown but due to the high supply voltage needed, it is not a practical design. The previous circuit should be used.
