I like how his character is just so irredeemable. Usually, in a story like this, the big bad guy has some cliche redemption arc at some point. Goldilocks kind of had that plot point already with the realization of who her family really is. They could have easily overdone it by having Jack's wish be for something good after some change of heart at the very end, like wishing to save the baker's dozen. But no, he's this rare character with a surprisingly good balance of goofy design and coldheartedness.

Everytime Jack walks is just so bad ass. His posture, the way he walks, His suit is just so cool. He acts like a mafia boss

I love Jack Horner as a villain, feels like a fairy tale where the villain is a genuine villain. And not a villain with a sad backstory

Bro Jackโ€™s backstory was so sad ๐Ÿ˜ญhe only had loving parents, a huge mansion, and more ๐Ÿ˜ญ

0:12 hits so hard, the reason I keep coming back to this video, wish this badass clip was a bit longer

He sent 3 bears and one human flying with just one swing. What a monster.

His character design alone tells you how much of a brute force he is

I love how both Death and Jack Horner both became so loved on their own merits

I'm still impressed how they made an antagonist looks so goofy and intimidating at the same time.

Little Jack Horner
Sat in a corner
Eating a Christmas pie
Stuck his thumb
In a plumb
And said
โ€œWhat a good boy am Iโ€ ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

0:17 the sword in the stone didn't choose him, unfortunately Jack didn't care.

Jack Horner is the ultimate sigma male of Dreamworks.

He is a badass villain, specially with the collecting of magical stuff we can actually recognize. Him getting out of the literal Mary Poppins bag (the umbrella pattern is an unmistakable reference) excalibur with the rock still in it was one of the most hilarious little things i loved about this character

Unironically I think this character should present a template to writers on how to write this particular type of villain. Itโ€™s nice to have sympathetic villains who challenge us to avoid โ€œotheringโ€ those who are socially ostracized. But sometimes we need villains like Jack Horner who are extremely privileged and just simply crave more power.
