They are literally the best band you have never heard of (they are Rolling Stones class but with better singers) because of getting screwed over by some idiots in the US music industry. Chisel went back to Australia and wrote a song called 'You got nothing I want' about the US music industry. It tells you everything you need to know...

He was a teenager when he joined Cold Chisel. He was their lead singer, although their guitarist Ian Moss also sang lead on songs. Both are mighty fine. Jimmy Barnes, aka Barnsey, brings the rock and soul, and Ian Moss, aka Mossy, brings the blues.

For Jimmy's rock sound, try Wild Thing from The Last Stand concert or Goodbye (Astrid Goodbye). To listen to Ian sing, try Bow River, but it would have to be live at the 2003 Ringside concert just to hear Dave Blight slaying it on the harmonica.

Jimmy has 50 years of music behind him, beginning with his band Cold Chisel in the early 70' to 84, then a solo career from 84 to 2024 and still going. He has the most no1 albums of any artist in Australia with I think 17 or 18. Jimmy is doing it tough at the moment having to cancel one tour for hip surgery then got a virus which spread to his heart and had to cut a tour for open heart surgery and in the last few weeks cut another tour short for another hip surgery. He is 67. I have a song you will thoroughly enjoy it Soothe Me by Jimmy Barnes and Sam Moore. Jimmy is 66, and Sam is 86. Sam is from the America group Sam and Dave.
