The first pull, is " decompression " next pull, you Will start easy. Nice motor, i have the same model.

perfect set up.. not too heavy to always carry and gets the job done.. im going this set up dont need to go super fast just enough to get to my fishing... its better then fishing in the shore or kayak pedals lol ..ill probably have 2 my buddies and gas tank of maybe 3 gallons so im sure ill go a bit slower and ill be doing sea bay and out to ocean a bit like 5 miles out or so from shore.. hope its good enough lol

I have a 12' jon boat and a brand new 4hp mercury, I could not get it to plane at all. I put a hydrofoil on it and now it will plane at half throttle...game changer!

Hi buddy I need help, I got the new 6hp too but it's feel like not get much power out of it, it's can not push my rib310 on plant..🤦🏻... is that the motor issue or the rib too heavy..?? Help please... do you have any idea..??

I have heard it said that it is wise to have a separate fuel source--if you have the main and kicker off the same source, and the fuel is contaminated, you are down both engines. Your thoughts?

Try adjusting the pitch of the motor they usually run best at number 3 from the bottom

Hey Tim your motor is a Suzuki DF6a . I have a 2010 Suzuki DF6 . Its a great outboard but it doesn't do well in silty muddy rivers.The cooling system almost always cloggs up. Not sure if you have had same issues?..

We have this same 2018 model engine, and have trouble with the exhaust valve jamming up if it is stored for longer than a few weeks. Evidently there is a manufacturing defect, that allows corrosion to form on the valve stems.
Have you had this issue? I know of several others besides me, here on You Tube, with the sticking valve problem. It’s been to the shop, and had the whole valve train and head replaced under warranty, but it didn’t solve the issue. I found out form another owner that there is a part available to vent condensation out of the area around the valves. Suzuki denies any issues with these engines, and said there were no updates or recalls. I have yet to find out the truth, but I have a lemon engine. It only has 30 hrs on it, since October of 2017, because it is always down. Valves stuck four times, in the shop, now has to go back to the shop for the same issues. I’ll never buy another Suzuki. Poor service and support. There’s a reason that they don’t cost as much.

Lightest 6hp 4 stroke engine.good for trolling nice and quiet but for speed we will need a 2 stroke 6, 8, 10hp

I have the 2021 suzuki 6 hp.
And was told it takes 19oz of motor oil.
Why does your model take 23 oz?
Did they decrease the oil capacity for the newer model?
