From what I read at the time of this song was released it caused her marriage to end up in a divorce. Her husband at the time actually thought she was messing around with another guy. Oh well...that's life I suppose. Another tid bit....Mary MacGregor at the time of recording this song was standing on top of the toilet seat cover while singing her voice into the microphone in the studios bathroom, why because the recording engineer like the way her voice sounded in the bathroom. She was stirring at herself in the mirror during the recording session.

It is IMPOSSIBLE for 'us' men to have two lovers because 'we' are so loyal to the ONE 'we' truly love!
This song was written by a woman for a WOMAN, not in a gay sense but more as a warning to pick the RIGHT man or you will lose the only man that will ever love you!
