Tony Fadell is an American entrepreneur and inventor, known as the "father of the iPod" for his role in the development of Apple's iconic music player. He co-founded and served as the CEO of Nest Labs, a smart home technology company, which was acquired by Google in 2014. Prior to Nest, Fadell worked at Apple for over a decade, where he led the development of the first 18 generations of the iPod and the first three generations of the iPhone. Fadell is a prominent figure in the tech industry and has been recognized for his contributions to consumer electronics. He has received numerous awards and has been inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame
