Restoring A $7,000 Mansion: Finishing The Underground Movie Theatre Hole

I am doing a 100% restoration and remodel on my mansion that was purchased for $7,000. Part of the restoration and remodel is the addition of an underground movie theatre. Today I finish digging the massive hole the underground movie theatre is going to go inside of.

you should add a flap valve to the end of your tile line. Prevents water coming back up your line and keeps out varmints and dirt etc.

I absolutely love the cornstar, it’s the best channel. You’ll have to start another renovation when you’ve finished this one, coz you’re the dream team. Roman also needs a 2 minute section where he pontificates a word of DIY wisdom every show!

I don't know if you are 100% complete back filling the tile to the creek... but this would be a perfect time to move your tank farther from your house. And on top of that... copper isn't great to be directly buried in the dirt. I would run a 2" pvc chase down a ways with the tile and run a new copper gas line.

Cole, before backfilling I'd make sure and grade check every 10 feet or so the entire length of the trench and verify its all downhill to the creek. Also, I'd highly suggest a few lines of perferated tile under the basement floor (theatre area) and connect to the tile in the trench. Also a must is a backflow preventer at the creek end of your tile and a critter guard. Other than those items, carry on.
