Interesting interpretation. I asked Andrew Wyatt about this song last Saturday October 20th after they had completed their show in Maine and he stated that the lyrics are intended to be completely ambiguous. Unlike other obviously songs on the album, they (he) wanted to let the listener come to their own ideas about the meaning and what they were "In Search Of". The track came first and the lyrics were just thrown in. The only point purposely made was a thought of self-consciousness. Cheers!!
