My One-hundred twenty-first Doll Video--Flickr woes and, of course, doll clothes

Hello again! This video does start with a...well, it's not a rant as much as it's a lamentation about the recent announcement about the new direction for Flickr. It's my initial reaction, so differing opinions are absolutely fine, and I may change my mind anyway!

I LOVE the culottes & also the big bloomers you showed early on. The most anyway, as always I liked everything. Those tights are awesome, I just got my very first regular size msd and I have nothing for her to wear. It is spring here which is like summer plus anywhere else so she'll live. Of course I know quite a few shops on etsy that make lovely clothes for pullips and no doubt for msds too but I have been spoilt by unique-ness! You did that years ago haha. Between you and a new friend who is also a friend of yours & has a style that makes my jaw drop .. I feel like a tantruming 2 year old but I want unique ;)

I found Bulkr (an app) made it much easier to download and upload photos on and off Flickr if anyone is interested. I ended up purging my photos to get under 1000, but it means I'll only use Flickr for uploads to dolly forums.

I think for quick snaps I've moved to Instagram, but that has the consequence of meaning that you're now on social media and have to deal with being the good and service marketed to advertisers.

I know some people are moving back to Photobucket, as they're offering free accounts again so long as you use the Photobucket watermark, their adds look too much like they're infected with viruses to me.

The more changes/drama that happen on Flickr, the more I become inclined to learn coding and just create a straight-up toy photography community website...somehow. I’ve also been on Flickr for 10+ years, and I have in fact been paying $50 a year for for Pro for a while now (it’s complicated), so I won’t be going anywhere anytime soon, but it’s mighty disheartening to see so many people leaving and still more that are just plain upset.And anybody who cares about quality photography knows that Instagram isn’t the answer. Yeah, there’s Ipernity, but it’s fairly weak. So what do we do? I have a friend who codes, maybe I can get her to teach me....
