I loved those text adventure games back in the day. I went to a tech company's open house in the 70's once and they had people playing "Adventure" on hardwired work stations and it was a blast. All that before PC's became a thing in the 80's. I later played Zork, which is still available as a free download somewhere and playable in a command prompt window. I also once owned copies of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and "Leather Goddesses of Phobos." In "Hitchhiker's" you played as Arthur Dent waking up to find his house about to be demolished, just as in the book. From there you used text to escape Earth before the Vogons demolish it and go on for more adventures. Great fun.
