In September last year, HELGA's song “Burden” from their debut album 'Wrapped In Mist' won the Grand Prize in the Rock category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. The next phase of this contest, called the Lennon Awards, begins today.

The Lennon Award is decided by an online public vote that lasts the whole month of April. In this round, the Grand Prize Winners of Session I and Session II Rock category compete head-to-head with each other in an online vote. The song with the most votes wins that category's Lennon Award.

Voting will be open from April 1st to April 30th.

Each voter can vote in every category once per day, each day.

Feels like really a such weird mix of vibes I have of Anna von Hausswolff, Ninet Tayeb, Caroline Polachek and ehh I don't know Chelsea Wolfe, but at the same time so different and so unique. Really a very very special artist, so can't wait the album.

I had not heard the same sound, melody and atmosphere since Shellyz Raven (An extinct band that I keep in my heart and I recommend listening to it) and it already rained...
