Led Zeppelin Tribute - Foo Fighters, Kid Rock, Lenny Kravitz - 2012 Kennedy Center Honors

The Foo Fighters, Kid Rock, and Lenny Kravitz perform "Rock and Roll," "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You," "Ramble On," and "Whole Lotta Love" in honor of Led Zeppelin at the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors.

In a surprise twist, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins sings lead vocals while frontman Dave Grohl takes the drum kit on "Rock and Roll." Kid Rock sings "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" and "Ramble On," and Lenny Kravitz performs "Whole Lotta Love." They performed in front of Led Zeppelin band members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones, as well as President Barak Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and the other honorees including Buddy Guy, David Letterman, Dustin Hoffman, and Natalia Makarova.

Taylor had a lot of stones to get up and sing Robert Plant’s song in front of him. He did it his own way, gave it his all, and it sounded incredible. May he RIP.

You know the thing I love most about Dave Grohl - every single time he performs he's giving it everything he's got. He plays every gig like it's the last gig of his life. Never half asses anything. You may like or dislike his music, but you can't deny the energy and dedication. It's contagious.
