Ahhh, Risotto. A classic and wonderful rice cooking method. Today on Foodie Friday we make Soma's Apple Risotto from Food Wars. It's a relatively simple dish and I would recommend making it if your hosting a dinner for a few people to shock and awe them, food wars style.

Recipe:

375ML Water
375ML Apple Juice
1 Apple, small diced
30g cold butter
20g Shredded Parmesan (or more!)
100G small diced Onion
Olive oil to coat your pan
Salt and Black Pepper as needed

I've made this dish before, it was good. This first time it was too sweet for me so instead I used a 50/50 Apple Cider and Chicken broth as the liquid. It came out really nice.

I have actually made soma's apple risotto before using the instructions from feast of fiction. Also you forgot the parsley that soma adds at the end, but maybe the Parmesan made that unnecessary? Anyway keep up the good work.

Hey Chef PK I just tried the recipe it is very good. The apple chunks mix with the creamy risotto is a explosion of flavor. Paired with a thick slice of bacon makes a very enjoyable dish.
