Do many people happen to have string to hand? Thread won’t work. Folding or cutting the corners of the page works well I’ve found. For temporary page marking just use a bit of paper as a bookmark.

You may theoretically think and go, how useful is the book mark.. But once you realizs that "IT'S A DAMN POCKET NOTEBOOK" that illusion of usefulness wash aways pretty quick 😂
