The Dover Boys ReAnimated collab!

90+ Animators have come together to re animate the 1942 Classic 'The Dover Boys' by Warner Bros, Leon Schlesinger & Chuck Jones.

Originally suggested by my wife, this turned out to be a fun project to host and an honor to work alongside all these great animators and artists! I'll be hosting more collabs later in the year~

The original came out 76 years ago. It's been an entire human lifetime since the creation of this, and almost nobody alive today would've been able to see this when it was first broadcast.
Yet, because the internet is so weird and holds so much, a whole lot of people remade the entire thing for fun.

That, to me, is just incredible.

Considering how this cartoon almost never was produced because of how the original was very exaggerated and bizarre, the fact you exaggerated and made it more bizarre would make Chuck Jones proud.

I like how the saloon has a “favorite customer” recognition for Dan Backslide, yet it also has his “Wanted beaten” poster on the outside.

It’s kind of amazing when you think about how technology is so advanced that people were able to animate pieces of a nine-minute cartoon that was originally animated on cels in a studio with a budget of several thousand dollars in their _bedrooms_

I just love how most of these don't rely on pop culture references and memes and instead try to take the wackiness to another level or just show the artists take on the scene they're animating, it gives us something new while keeping up the humor of the original or even adding onto it.
