If you have an iPhone 6s or newer, you can set cool animated images called Live Wallpapers as your device’s background. Watch this video to learn about the best apps to get free live wallpapers for your iPhone!

The first app we’d recommend checking out is called Live Wallpaper HD for iPhone. Simply swipe sideways across your screen to view more free wallpapers. If you see one you like, tap Save at the bottom to save it to your device’s camera roll. You’ll see a small window pop up confirming that the wallpaper has been saved.

The second app you should check out is called Live Wallpaper ++. It works similarly to the first app we showed, just swipe to see more wallpapers. If you see one you like, tap Save at the bottom to download it. An ad may appear after you save a wallpaper. Unfortunately with the free version you will have to put up with a few ads here and there – that’s how the app developers make money even from free users. Tap the X at the top to close it and keep browsing the app.

The third live wallpaper app we recommend is Live Wallpapers Now. When you first open the app, you’ll see an ad trying to convince you to purchase the premium version. Wait for a few seconds, then tap the X in the top left corner to close out the ad. Now you’ll be able to browse the app’s collection of free live wallpapers. Swipe sideways across your screen to view more wallpapers. If you see one you like and want to save it, tap the download icon near the bottom. An advertisement may play. Tap the X at the top to close the ad. You should then see a notification confirming that the image was saved to your device’s camera roll.

Once you’ve saved the wallpaper you want to use on your device, open the Photos app and open the image you’d like to use as your background. Tap the share icon in the bottom left corner. Scroll horizontally across the bottom menu, then tap Use as Wallpaper. Press in the middle of your screen to preview your background’s animation. Tap Set in the bottom right corner to make it your background, then choose whether you want that image to be on your lock screen, home screen, or both. Then go back to your home screen or lock screen to check out your new live wallpaper. Simply press down on your screen to view the animation. Keep in mind that if your device is set to low power mode, the animation will not play.
