I've got an old shape (more "traditional" P) VM. I like these new ones, though I hope Sandberg doesn't move further away from their whole personalised/customised schtick.

Makes a world of difference. Please continue to use her or other seasons players (w/ good timing) to demo your basses. I’ll give you a good example: I think the music man bongo basses are the ugliest instruments I’ve ever seen but I saw a clip of Alex Al trying one out at a NAMM. I put one on layaway. I eventually didn’t get it but he made that thing sound so incredible I considered it!

I bought the Sandberg California TM4/Black Finish with a Maple Fretboard & its is one of the best bass guitar's I've bought with regards to build quality/onboard electronics & sound...
Sandberg really do make the best bass guitar's you will want to buy but don't take my word for it & pop into your local guitar store that has them & try them out...
Unfortunately Ida Neilson doesn't come with the bass guitar... lol

My apologies, pop into your nearest store once where ever you stay is not in Lockdown because of the coronavirus & light of this stay safe & healthy...
