To anyone who has never had a PC monitor this large before and is also using their PC for work, I highly suggest that you honestly assess if you have the space to both sit far enough away from ANY monitor larger than 32" and set them up so that their top bezel is near or at eye level.

Not only is neck strain a real thing that will for sure happen if you simply replace your small monitor with a large monitor, the real estate that you gain will be negated by the sheer distance of the corners from your optimal viewing angle. Again, for gaming this may not be an issue, but for work you will notice this all the time. For context, I recently bought the FV43U. And this is just 43". The C1 starts at 48".

So if you also use your PC for work, if you're not sure your workspace can accommodate this TV, go for multiple smaller monitors or a widescreen. I still love my FV43U, but I want to save some of you out there who may be on the verge of making a mistake. The only real reason to get monitors of this size is for the immersive gaming experience. They're not as good as widescreen or multiple monitors for productivity. I promise you that.

Been running my LG CX 48" with my RTX 3090 for the past year runs great. No Burn In and much better than all my previous monitors. If only the TV was in the 30ish inch range it would be the best. No Complaints though. 4K 120Hz Gaming is Epic.

I´m using the 48" CX since it´s release as a monitor and no problems or burn-in etc. at all. Enjoying 4K at 120Hz with HDR and G-Sync.

LG has said they will start making 42" OLED TV which should make it even more viable as a Monitor.

I wish they can make a smaller version like 40 inches. It's just too big for my desk. I also hope that other manufacturers compete as well. If other brands have 120 Hz OLED panels at a lower price I'd buy one!

I just got a CX open box for $1, 100, realistically as a PC monitor none of the differences you will ever know about or care about. The quality of this is unreal. Only thing you need is a wall mount or a stand to keep it at least 3' away from your face.

I have had the 48 inch cx as a monitor for about six months now. It is amazing. And that is coming from a dell ips ultrawide. There is nothing to compete with it monitor wise, if you are focusing on picture quality.

This is definitely a better option than the Asus model HW unboxed just reviewed. Lol

55" CX here. Best PC display I've ever used. Period.

I've been using the 55BX as my PC monitor for about a year now, and I absolutely love it. The picture quality is absolutely excellent. However, I don't like the changes in Brightness when a fully white picture is suddenly displayed, and I'm also not too satisfied with the overall Brightness. But I think the newer B1/C1 TV's do get brighter.

Yes, absolutely yes...the instantaneous pixel response time is worth everything if you are thinking to buy it for gaming.

One of thr things you have to consider is your eye height when using one of these as a monitor as it can cause serious neck issues. You can use up to about a 32" without many issues, but going above that can create neck cramp - I was able to fix this by using a wall mount to lower it and to remove the stand.

It's being treated as a monitor review, and you didn't compare it to comparable actual monitors? You really should have casual mentions of price and relative performance to something besides another TV, whether the BFG displays, or even a gaming grade 24-30' monitor. like the Odyssey or an Asus

Just purchased this TV. So excited to see how it looks and performs.

If only they would release such a panel in 27/32" (16:9) and 35/38" (21:9) formats...

The OLED + smaller size is a perfect combo, but the *Permanent Burn-In* risk is too big for such a high priced TV, and all the measures to prevent it just changes drastically the way you use your own PC/Desktop.
You would _always_ worry abt 'when' you'll start seeing the damage. Not worth the stress/anxiety.

This is far more versatile compared to ANY PC monitor. I'd choose this any given day.

There is no monitor that even comes close at any price. If you want to do colour grading work, youll have a specialist monitor anyway, for everything else, the c1 is mind blowing. I should have done this a long time ago...

Hi Rtings!

So, a new round of burn in tests would be appreciated.

What I suggest:

20/7 'average brightness' setting

TV1: CNN only
TV2: Console gaming only
TV3: HDR Movies with subtitles
TV4: Fully randomized TV watching
TV5: PC monitor usage
TV6: An equal mixture of all of the above
TV7: Same as TV6 but with lower brightness setting.
TV8: Same as TV6 but with max brightness setting.

This would be the ultimate burn in test. Featuring real use case scenarios. Of the most recent OLED TVs since the B6 and B7 tests. That are now outdated. Possibly using 48" C1s (minding the 2 panel types of course).

An 'evo' panel C1 could be thrown in as TV 9, featuring the same content as TV 6.

I have this as a monitor. Only downsides are the auto brightness via ABL when maximising a white window which you can’t stop, and it constantly switches the sound profile to Game Optimizer every time you turn on the PC .. wish it could stay on Cinema which I think sounds much better
