Exciting technology! I haven't seen a proper update on RR's work like this before now. Thank you for sharing.

Innovation might yet give nuclear a place in the future energy mix. I have faith the anti-nuclear sentiment can be broken down with facts and passion.

Australia could use district cooling i think, use mass cold storage

Interesting views but I certainly agree that SMR has the potential to be an important game changer for the future

A ribbon of SMR's strung across America (follow the major highways) would provide power to the entire country...

Amazing how all the factors they considered happen to make what they already have on the shelf the best choice... funny how that worked out. 🙄
Still - do it! #YesNukes

Since the operating temps are too low for process heat, why not just use the electric output to run furnaces?

Shame that the sound quality is so bad. You are talking about hope for our future.

Very interesting. There is lots of hype about new tech but RR just seem focused on doing what's already known more safely and efficiently, and they would appear to be quite uniquely placed to deliver on that promise. The only thing I don't like is the once-though fuel cycle; it produces much more waste, even if it's the cheapest way at the moment.
