I started getting cystic acne when I was 19. I'm now 40 and still get the odd occasional one but now suffer with milia. The white hard bumps that look like whiteheads but are hardened keratin/protein. I've learned to deal with it but still makes me feel so ugly. I won't wear make-up because it doesn't help. I understand the pain of both, physically and emotionally. You two are beautiful xxx

You are beautiful !
I am a 55 year old male who never suffered acne.
I do wish to inform you that you are wise beyond your years !
And your confidence is proof that you have grown from your experience- so few people (including the majority of adults) do not mature, their self-confidence remains shrivelled, and their life experiences haunt them. (I am not criticising others, I still do have my own mental/psychological demons, but what I am hoping to convey in my message to you is that you have proved how powerful our minds are - we are only limited by our belief in ourselves.
You have chosen to share your experiences with others, for their benefit. This is very commendable - have you thought about pursuing a career where your personal strengths will be valued ?

In closing, let me congratulate you again.
It is my belief that as humans our only objective on earth is to assist others; and in order to do this well we must first fully understand ourselves.
May you, and all of those that you love, be blessed 🙏🏼

Recently a baby at the grocery story pointed at my face and said “owie!” and his mom looked so embarrassed. I just laughed and said it was ok but I’m still thinking about it lol

Vitamin C with hydrochloric acid serum in the morning, aloe vera with tea tree gel in the night, this has dramatically reduced my acne.

Thank you for this! Needs to be more of this. I'm 33 and been dealing with acne since i was 15. I gave up on "growing out of it." I need to learn to embrace it!

Acutane saved my life. Completely eradicates acne. Please see your dermatologist and ask about it.

isotretinon will clean it up. It is a controversial drug due to cases of it causing depression but if you feel you would be less depressed without acne then i recommend a treatment of it. I had acne not as bad as yours but bad enough and now my face is mostly clear and has been for a long time due to Isotretinon. I still get spots but its manageable. Speak to a Dermatologist.
