Integrated Fridge Freezer Door Slider Installation | The Carpenter's Daughter

It's just a quick one this week as no one wants to see me painting walls, etc. But for the last two years, we've not known how to fit an integrated fridge freezer door slider. And as soon as we knew what it was called, I got on it.

But cutting the story short... we had a handyman who fitted our appliances, but had misplaced the fittings. Also, we hadn't got a clue what they looked like or even called.

But, after a long search, we found this IKEA Universal door slider attachment. And the job was VERY simple!

Note, our fridge freezer is by Currys and not IKEA, but it still worked.

This guide is great. I'd tried on numerous occasions to follow Beko's written and video instructions and failed - each time, frost was building up on the back of the fridge meaning the door wasn't sealed properly.

Decided to have one last bash at it last night, followed these instructions, checked fridge this morning and there is NO frost build-up!

Any suggestions when the track and slider on a new fridge are too flimsy to open the freezer door ? the freezer is brand new and its suction is very strong and the plastic track just gives way at the top and bottom when the door is opened and the slider simply comes off ? I guess I need a metal track and a stronger metal slider but I havent come across an aftermarket alternative to the NEFF one provided?

Thanks for this! Is it safe to drill into the sides of the doors to mount the brackets? Just want to make sure that there isn't a seal that we'd be breaking in that area!
