I watched this video a couple of days ago, read Wylding Hall because I saw it here and came back to rewatch your video. I picked it up because you said Daisy Jones, old mansion, and horror. I quite liked it! With Velvet Was The Night I am once again reminded that I need to read Mexican Gothic already.

I have been in the biggest reading slump for months and your video couldn’t have come at a better time. I have read a few Kate Morton books including The Forgotten Garden and they’re not my favorites but I do think she writes atmosphere very well! The Manningtree Witches gives me a vibe similar to that of The Silent Companions. It is a very good victorian gothic story which focuses on a haunted house, witchcraft and creepy wooden figurines. I think you should try this out!

I'm so into Stephen Graham Jones books and just wish they came out during the fall and not the summer becauze they're such cozy spooky reads for me. I'm definitely picking up My Heart Is a Chainsaw! It sounds like a lot of fun.
